Progress Update: New Marshals and Volkswagen Expansion

Ft. Oglethorpe (WDEF) – Our Progress Update this week has a follow up and an update for you.

We start in Ft. Oglethorpe, with the newest CBL retail space opening in the Tennessee Valley.

Parkway Plaza will officially open next week (April 2nd).
But stores have been opening as they are ready.

And the latest is Marshall’s.

The fashion retailer opens today.

Parkway Plaza is next to the Walmart on Battlefield Parkway.

Petco, Hobby Lobby, and Rack Room shows have already opened.

Chattanooga (WDEF) – We also thought we’d share Volkswagen’s expansion progress.

They are posting pictures of the construction photos on their Volkswagen Group of America Facebook page.

The work began in earnest in March to expand the body, assembly, paint shops and warehouse.

Volkswagen plans to produce a new SUV here by the end of 2016.

Now crews are putting up the framing for the North Body shop expansion.
