Public Works truck crashes into abandoned building on Missionary Ridge
Driver suffers minor injuries
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Chattanooga Public Works debris collection truck took a wild ride on Missionary Ridge this morning.
It happened around 9:15 AM on Ridgewood Drive near the bridge over I 24.
The truck left the road, hit a pole, went down the embankment and smashed into an out-building next to a home.
The building, itself was unoccupied.
Chattanooga firefighters were called on to stabilize the truck and building while a wrecker removed the truck.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
