Puppy rescue turns into a human rescue

DECATUR, Tennessee (WDEF) – First Responders in Meigs County were called for both a puppy and a human rescue last night.

EMS personnel called on the Decatur Fire Department to bring their man hole lift to the rescue scene.

It seems a woman fell into a 15 foot hole trying to rescue the dog.

It happened on Peakland Road near Highway 60 north of Decatur.

Once the rescuers had set up a hoist, they were able to pull her and her puppy to safety.
