Raffensperger releases results of Senate runoff audit

Audit confirms Sen. Warnock victory

ATLANTA, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Secretary of State reports the results of the post-election audit of the Senate Runoff on December 6th.

All 138 counties took part.

They were required to recount about 4.6% of the votes cast in the runoff.

That translated to 409 batches of votes.

Here is the breakdown on the audit results:

— 386 (94%) had the exact same vote totals

— 398 (97%) had the same number of votes

They say none of the discrepancies found were outside of the normal amount for a hand count audit

Secretary Raffensperger requested the post-election audit.

“I am pleased that we had such strong participation from our counties at a time when everyone is tired and ready to spend time with their families,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “This audit showed once again that our system works and that Georgia’s voting system is accurate.”
