Rainsville Police find 2 children in Tennessee Amber Alert
RAINSVILLE, Ala. (WDEF) — Two children part of a statewide Tennessee Amber Alert have been found in Alabama. Rainsville Police announced they have arrested the person responsible for taking the children.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert on Monday, March 18 for Journey and Daley Garrett. Journey is two years old, and Daley is nine months old.
They were last seen in Shelbyville, Tennessee on March 13.
The TBI said the girls were likely to be with their non-custodial mother, Casey Campbell.
On Tuesday, March 19, the Rainsville Police Department said they found the children in a U-Haul truck at a Burger King in Rainsville. Additionally, there were two adults in the truck. Authorities identified those two as Casey Campbell, 32, and Charles Garrett, 26.
Campbell had an active warrant for her arrest for kidnapping the two children from their legal guardians. Rainsville officers arrested her and Charles Garrett.
Garrett was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Scottsboro.
The police department said the case is still open, and authorities in Alabama and Tennessee could file more charges.
