Raising Awareness: The Importance of HIV Testing and Prevention

In recognition of World AIDS Day, The Living Bridge Center in Dalton is offering rapid H-I-V testing.
For those at risk or simply wanting to know their status, this free, quick, and confidential test provides results in just 20 minutes.
It’s a key part of the fight against H-I-V, promoting early detection, care, and prevention.
“It’s important for everyone to get tested at least once in their lifetime. Many people don’t know their HIV status, and it’s crucial to know it because if you are positive, there are medications that can help you live a healthy life. By taking that medication daily, you can prevent transmitting it to others. That’s how we can stop the spread of HIV,” said Dana Wheeler, Registered Nurse.
The Living Bridge Center is committed to making testing accessible and supporting those living with H-I-V through care, treatment, and community education.
