Recycle old Christmas lights at a local Walmart
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Anyone wanting to get rid of their old Christmas lights can now do so at local Walmart locations.
Whether those string lights are working or broken, the public can now recycle them so they will not end up in a landfill.
Bring those old lights to a participating Walmart and put them into a collection box located inside the store.
The company says the public can find those boxes by the “general merchandise” and “garden center” entrances.
Walmart will then work with recycling centers to get rid of the lights.
The public can recycle their old lights from November 18 until January 7.

They will accept all holiday lights, including indoor, outdoor and patio lights.
