Red Bank Commission talks new school at White Oak Elementary

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – Red Bank officials discussed the joint proposal facilities plans at Tuesday night’s commission meeting.

They shared their thoughts for a new elementary school in District 6.

The new elementary school would be built by consolidating Alpine Crest and Rivermont Elementary schools.

A new school would be on the property of White Oak Elementary.

“The school district already owns this facility. It’s almost 10 acres so there’s room for growth,” said Vice Mayor of Red Bank, Stefanie Dalton. “It is situated inside of the city of Red Bank, inside of the district, where both of the schools Alpine Crest Elementary and Rivermont are located”

Commissioners say the next step is to talk with school board members to find future ways to keep an elementary school in Red Bank.
