Red Bank Softball Team Captures District 6-AA Tournament Title

Signal Mountain, TN-(WDEF-TV) The Red Bank softball team beat Central 11-1 on Tuesday evening to capture the District 6-AA tournament title at Signal Mountain high school. The Lions jumped on top early. In the bottom of the first, Hannah Wood got an RBI double to left to make it 1-0. Later in the inning, and Zoe Helms hit one to the fence in right. That plated two runs to make it 3-0 Lions. Red Bank wasn’t finished in the inning. Bailee Phillips got a base hit to left to score Helms from second to make it 4-0. Central scored their only run of the game in the top of the second on a sac fly from Cassidy Simms. Red Bank bounced back in the bottom of the second with two more runs including an RBI single from Zoe Helms. The Lions cruised from there to the 11-1 victory.
