Red Wolves Buzzin’ For Playoff Opener at Home Against Union Omaha

East Ridge, TN-(WDEF-TV) For the second year in-a-row, the Chattanooga Red Wolves punched their ticket to the playoffs. No easy task for the Red Wolves in their quarterfinal match-up. They host the reigning USL League One in Union Omaha.

Said captain Jose Carrera-Garcia:”The boys are buzzin’ man.”
Good to see the Red Wolves buzzin’ again, especially after head coach Jimmy Obleda was suspended in July.
Assistant Jimmy Weekley took over and helped get the team back in the playoffs.
Said Weekley:”Our message has been respond the right way. I feel like our guys have responded the right way to the changes, and they’ve been great to coach and be with.”
Said Garcia:”Sometimes that breaks you, but coach Weekley and the entire staff and entire team has been amazing reacting to everything that went on, so we didn’t let it get to our head. We just refreshed our mind, and if you could tell, we only lost three games out of the last 15 or whatever it is.”
One of those losses however came against Union Omaha.
Chattanooga failed to beat them this season.
Said Weekley:”For us it’s just finishing the game. We’ve had some results against them. We’ve been up, and we didn’t finish the last five, and they made us pay. They tied us up, or they beat us.”
Said Garcia:”We kind of went with a sour mouth over there losing 2-1 last minute, so we’re excited to play them here. We’ve been saving a win for them, and I think we are going to get it this weekend.”
Chattanooga is always confident when they’re in the wolf’s den…CHI Memorial Stadium.
Said Garcia:”Yeah I think teams hate coming to play us you know. We are great at home. Just the last game we had here against Charlotte ahs been one of the best atmospheres I’ve gone through this whole season.”
Said Weekley:”First getting them at home was a big deal. Going there to play, it’s a tighter, narrower field being a baseball field. Little bit of a different style of play for us on it. Being at home is huge.”

Game time is 7:30, and there will be fireworks afterwards.
