Regal at Hamilton Place celebrates National Cinema Day
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Sunday, Aug. 27 is national cinema day, and Regal Cinemas at Hamilton Place Mall celebrated the occasion with discounted ticket and concession prices.
The holiday was a celebration for why movies are ‘meant for the big screen.’
National Cinema Day discounts offered a cool break from a hot weekend.
“It is very hot outside so it’s the perfect activity to do with the family and get inside the theater for $4. For any type of movie, any format… There’s a lot scheduled. They added showtimes and plus you can get that $4 popcorn and drink,” Hamilton Place Mall Marketing director Jason Heymann said.
Regal at Hamilton Place is just one of the participating locations across the nation. AMC theaters also took part in the celebration.
Falling at the end of a record-breaking box office summer, national cinema day lasted throughout Sunday with various deals and discounts.
“With the success of Barbie and Oppenheimer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and then of course mission impossible, you have all these big, huge, summer blockbusters that are out. So, I think Regal really wants to make sure that everybody gets an opportunity to see it in the theater. Because that’s how movies are meant to be experienced,” Heymann said.
