Regional Health Council holds tobacco-free conference
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Wednesday, May 12, the Regional Health Council held the 2nd annual Clear the Air conference.
It focused on the changing culture of smoking in Hamilton County. Over the past few years, more and more businesses and campuses are choosing to go tobacco free.
“I’m going to go back to Brainerd high school and try to talk to some of the students there if they will listen. I just want to really get involved and try to make a change, and I just want to be an active participant in this program.” said Desman Ware
Awards were giving out to community leaders for their tobacco policies. Five Restaurant and Patio, the Grand Apartments, Head Start Daycares, Chattanooga State Community College, and Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation were all recognized.
