Reptile Expo comes to East Ridge
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Sunday at the East Ridge Community Center, a reptile expo full of scaley creatures like snakes, lizards and even spiders were in attendance.
“We try to bring a little bit of diversity for the people to have some options as far as other vendors here at the show. We got Ball Pythons, some of the vendors here have some jumping spiders. There are people here with five different types of boa constrictors, crested geckos, leopard geckos, we got iguanas,” said Representative of the Reptile Expo, Murry Miles.
While not everyone is fond of snakes and spiders, Murry loves seeing the diverse crowds coming to experience each creature while also seeing people become a little bit more comfortable around them.
“One thing that I always enjoy is people coming here with their family and their young kids and you’ll see the parents are super passionate and involved with the animals and it’s kind of a bridge to their kids. Kids are naturally going to be interested by the animals as well,” said Miles.
