Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Mike Pence to speak in Dalton
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Donald Trump is preparing to make a speech on immigration in Arizona this week, while his running mate Mike Pence takes the State of Georgia.
Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence is making a two-day tour across Georgia, starting Monday with speeches in Perry and Atlanta, and wrapping up Tuesday afternoon with a speech in Dalton.
The rally will be held at the Northwest Georgia convention and trade center. The doors are set to open at noon, but Pence isn’t scheduled to speak until 3:00 p.m.
The state of Georgia hasn’t voted for a Democrat since 1992, but some say Trump’s controversial comments, and seemingly low support among conservatives are why campaign stops in the peach state are needed now more than ever.
Hilary Clinton took a day off the campaign trail Monday, holding more fundraisers with donors.
