Rescued Bunnies Available for Adoption at McKamey Animal Shelter

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)-   In August, over 100 rabbits were rescued from a home with unstable living conditions. Now, several months later, many of these bunnies have found new homes, but four are still waiting for their forever families.

“These four rabbits that we have left are among more than a hundred rabbits that were living in one home in the Chattanooga area, with a very overwhelmed caregiver. The Humane Society of the United States assisted in rescuing the rabbits and finding better alternatives for them,” said Lauryn Mann, Director of Advancement for the McKamey Animal Shelter.

Newport, Kazma, Padme, and March are among those still hoping to hop into a loving home. each with their own unique personality.

” Newport was born in our care here, and he is the friendliest because he has lived in a home his whole life. He is very sweet, hops around, and rolls around in the sun. You can see he’s looking for pets right now,” said Lauryn Mann, Director of Advancement for the McKamey Animal Shelter.
Adoption fees are just $20, and the shelter is encouraging interested families to stop by and meet these furry friends.
