Revivals break out at college chapels

A Christian service at Asbury University has been ongoing for six days straight

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Christian chapel service at Asbury University has turned into a six-day revival so far. The college in Wilmore, Kentucky inspired other universities across the nation to do the same. One of those is a local private college.

The Asbury revival began Wednesday, February 8. As of Tuesday, it is still ongoing. This makes over 150 hours of revival at the university.

Those in attendance said they have three auditoriums full of people worshipping. Reports say this is the longest church service at Asbury since 1970.

Students, faculty and staff joined the service. Students from other colleges across the country have attended as well.

There have been multiple attendees live streaming the service via Facebook.

Many other college campuses even started revivals of their own.

One of those is Lee University in Cleveland.

Their service lasted at least 11 hours. It is unclear whether the service is still ongoing.

Rob Fultz is a Campus Pastor at Lee University. He took the service to Twitter Monday.

He later tweeted, “1:30 am, salvation, deliverance and healing are here! Isaiah 40 – a voice calling in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord!”
