Rezoning Request Deferred to January
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) – A rezoning request along Snow Hill Road was deferred Monday after the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission said the updated plan tied to Plan Hamilton had not yet been reviewed.
The proposal covers 37.4 acres at 6616 Snow Hill Road and 8454 & 8455 Groundhog Lane and seeks approval for 122 homes through a rezoning from A-1 to R-1 PUD.
Opposition spoke against the request during the meeting, while the developer referenced the recently passed Plan Hamilton and asked the commission to review the new requirements.
Planning staff stated that the updated plan had not been reviewed following Plan Hamilton’s passage.
Commissioners noted that they could not take action or consider changes without that review and voted to defer the case until their January meeting.
