Rhea County man arrested for drugs after hotel room search
RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A man in Rhea County was arrested on drug charges after a hotel room search.
Rhea County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) posted on Facebook that their deputies executed a search warrant at America’s Best Value Inn, room 124.
After conducting the search, deputies uncovered 27.3 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, US currency, and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Matthew Wampler was arrested and taken to the Rhea County Jail, pending a $150,000 bond.
Wampler is charged with the following:
- Maintaining a drug dwelling
- Possession of methamphetamine for resale
- Possession of marijuana for resale
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Theft of property
