Rhea County now has an SRO for every school

DAYTON, Tennessee (WDEF) – Beginning today, Rhea County now has an SRO in every school.

There are three weeks left in the school year.

Sheriff Mike Neal has been working with Schools Director Jerry Levengood on school safety issues.

“We want everyone to know that the safety and security of our children are a top priority for us at the Sheriff’s Office.”

Here are the officers assigned to each school:

Rhea County High School: Sgt. Ronnie Janow & Deputy Adam Cosby
Rhea Middle: Deputy James Pearce
Frazier Elementary: Deputy Tony Moore
Rhea Central Elementary: Deputy Adam Hurst
Spring City Elementary: Deputy Travis McGhee
Graysville Elementary: Deputy Ted Byrd
Spring City Middle: Corporal Aaron Loden.
