Rhea County woman indicted on charges of raping a child

DAYTON, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Rhea County woman has been indicted on charges of sexual battery and raping a child last fall.

The victim is between the ages of eight and 13 years old, according to the indictment.

Authorities arrested 28-year-old Lynzie Jean Bartley on Christmas Day.

Investigators say the incidents happened between September and November of 2023.

She was indicted on the charges just this week.
