Ridgeland Faces Always Tough Cartersville in Second Round of the State Playoffs

Ridgeland must find a way to slow down Cartersville Friday night in the second round of the Georgia state playoffs. Cartersville is an elite program that always seems to feature D-one talent. Their tight-end Jackson Lowe is committed to Tennessee. Now Ridgeland has played five ranked teams this season, so they should know what they’re walking into.

Said head coach Cortney Braswell:”We know we better come and play our best football or else it could be pretty lopsided, so our kids are aware fo that. They know what it’s going to take. I think with the preparation we’ve had this week, and the preparation we’ve had all season, we certainly feel like we are ready for a moment like this and for an opportunity like this. For us it’s another chance to go and evaluate our program and find out where we are in our process and our football and go from there.”
