Ringgold man arrested after child exploitation investigation

RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) —  A man was arrested in Ringgold after a child exploitation investigation.

The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) searched a home on Mason Drive on June 2, 2025.

The search followed a cyber tip about child sexual abuse material being downloaded.

Investigators traced the activity to a specific device using digital tools.

According to Catoosa County Sheriff Sheriff Gary R. Sisk, they matched the serial number to a device owned by Ronnie Massey.

A search of Massey’s cell phone showed images tied to the cyber tip.

Massey was arrested without incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Multiple reports say Massey was an assistant principal at Lafayette High School.

Walker County Schools has released a statement regarding Massey’s arrest, stating:

Sincerely,
Damon Raines
