Ringgold’s Cole Runion Wrecking Opponents Passing Games With Interceptions
Ringgold, GA-(WDEF-TV) Ringgold opponents pass at their own risk this year because there’s a good chance the ball will be intercepted by the Tigers Cole Runion.
Brian Armstrong has more on Runion’s ridiculous I-N-T numbers.
Said Ringgold head coach Austin Crisp:”But anytime you get a takeaway, it changes the momentum of the game.”
When watching a Ringgold football game, you’re going to see a lot of defender Cole Runyon taking the ball away. He already has eight on the season.
Said Crisp”There’s a lot of factors involved. One is scheme. Uh, two is understanding the scheme like Cole does.”
Said Runion:”I feel like a lot of hard work and practice and understanding, uh, what schemes are and what my job is on that play. And just being in the right spot and doing what I’m supposed to do. ”
Runyon just has that natural ball hawking instinct.
Said Runion:”I just see the ball in the air and I’m thinking I gotta go get that.”
Said Crisp:”Go make a play can really change the game. It’s just having a natural knack for where the ball should be, where windows that the quarterbacks looking into should be and uh, really just an understanding of offensive concepts.”
