Ringgold’s first liquor store has grand opening
RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) — The City of Ringgold now has its first ever liquor store.
Up until now, selling package liquor had been illegal in this Georgia city.
Thanks to a recent referendum, people can now buy their spirits locally.
The city used a lottery system to decide what two organizations would receive a liquor license.
Sara Clark is a City Council Member for Ringgold. She said, “When you get into a very conservative area of Georgia that has never really had that before, it’s just something new. It’s something progressive, something the people may have talked about and decided the time was right.”
348 Liquor sits right off of exit 348 in Catoosa County.
Its grand opening will be held this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., when the mayor and city council members will be cutting the ribbon.
