River Drifters restaurant dealing with water issue

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Hamilton County Health Department says that bad water is the cause of three illnesses at a new restaurant.

River Drifters has recently opened up on Suck Creek Road along the Tennessee River.

The Health Department reports three of their customers have come down with the norovirus.

Officials say the well that the restaurant uses is contaminated.

The Restaurant owners are trying to win customers back by switching their water source.

They are using bottled water in the restaurant and a food truck to wash their dishes.

The property owner plans to dig a new well to replace the old one.
