River Rocks Finale in Coolidge Park

        For those with a need to climb, ride, jump and run, River Rocks is the place to be.
        "River Rocks is a month long celebration of outdoor adventure sports in Chattanooga, so we’re here to celebrate the outdoors all the things that are available to do in our region in the outdoors. Specifically adventure sports so everything from rock climbing to stand up paddle boarding to city trail running, urban trail running" said Board Member Stratton Tingle.
        The finale event in Coolidge Park brought together all the amateur and professional atheletes like Will Hale, he ran the stump jump 50 k in the beginning of the month.
        "A stump jump 50 k is a 50 k trail race.  Starts up at signal mountain high school, goes down through suck creek and up on prenis cooper go around a loop come back and finish," Hale said.
        "Chattanooga really embodies river rocks because of our natural outdoor beauty, the number of conservation minded folks that live here in town and regularly use things like our rocks to climb or our river to swim in paddle you know hints the name," Stratton said.
