Riverbend announces full lineup for 2019

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Friends of the Festival this morning released the roster of entertainers scheduled to appear at the annual event.

Starting on May 29TH on the Coke Stage is 90s rock band Weezer.

Pop singer Lionel Richie headlines on May 30th.

Country superstar Keith Urban, who was announced earlier, will play the Coke stage, May 31st.

And rapper Macklemore will be the final act, June 1st.

This year’s Riverbend will be only 4 days, as announced in a news conference in January.

Riverbend has booked some national acts for the Bud Light stage, also.

Here is a rundown of those acts.

WEDNESDAY

Larkin Poe is a current alt roots/blues band based in California, but originally from Calhoun, GA

And later on Wednesday, new country hitmaker Jimmie Allen takes the stage. His debut single “Best Shot” was a major hit last year.

THURSDAY

The early Bud Light show on Thursday will be southern rockers Black Stone Cherry.

Then comes the rising country group Lanco, featuring two former Lee University students. Their “Greatest Love Story” hit #1 at the end of 2017.

FRIDAY

On Friday, La Misa Negra is a Cumbia/Afro-Latin act from the Oakland area.

Then the next generation string band, Old Crow Medicine Show, performs. They are a long time Chattanooga favorite.

SATURDAY

On Saturday, teen rock prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer performs. He was inspired by the School of Rock movie at 10 years old and later played a role in the musical. You’ve seen him on the Ellen Show and Stephen Colbert.

The night ends with roots group The War and Treaty. The husband & wife duo blew up “out of nowhere” with their debut release in 2018. They combine roots/gospel/soul influences.
