Riverbend Festival not taking place in 2024
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Riverbend Festival will not be taking place in 2024, according to Friends of the Festival. The festival will be on a hiatus.
Friends of the Festival said this will be a temporary pause. However, they did not state how long the hiatus would last.
Here is what Friends of the Festival said of the hiatus:
Like other independently owned and operated music festivals across the nation that are going on a temporary pause, Riverbend is reevaluating and restructuring in order to be successful in the future.
We are so incredibly thankful for 40 amazing years of Riverbend and for the unwavering support from our community. The future holds lots of possibilities, and we hope to return stronger than ever!
We’ll see you soon.
The festival has been around for 40 years, starting back in 1982.
It has been an annual festival, taking place at Ross’s Landing.
Riverbend’s website states that the festival “ranks in the top 10% of all music festivals.” It adds that the festival has a hefty economic impact on the city of Chattanooga and Hamilton County.
