Robbery victim shot during holdup at convenience store.

UPDATE:

Police identify the victim as 39 year old Jonathan Smith.

He was treated at the scene but did not go to the hospital.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – An armed robbery this morning on Lee Highway left a victim with a minor gunshot wound.

Police tell us the victim was just grazed by the bullet.

The victim was approached by a man outside of the Mapco gas station at Lee Highway and Vance Road.

The robber fled the scene on foot.

But the victim wasn’t able to give police a good description for them to search.
