Rollover wreck shuts down lanes on Waugh Street in Dalton for a while Tuesday afternoon

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – A two-car crash in Dalton shut down lanes on Waugh Street for a time Tuesday afternoon.

Dalton Police report a Toyota Avalon driven by a 16-year-old ran the red light at the intersection of Cappes at Waugh Street.

That car side-swiped a GMC Jimmy driven by 21-year-old Lacey Clark.

The impact caused the Jimmy to flip onto its roof.

Both Clark and her passenger escaped with only minor injuries.

They were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The investigation into this crash continues.

Charges are pending.
