Rome brothers sentenced in separate drug cases in northwest Georgia

SUMMERVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) —  Two brothers from Rome, Georgia, were convicted and sentenced on major drug charges in separate cases.

Trevion Williams was arrested in March of 2020 after a routine traffic stop in Chattooga County.

A Chattooga County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over the vehicle for defective tail and tag lights.

While approaching the car, the deputy detected the smell of marijuana.

Williams, who was sitting in the back seat, told the officer he had just been released from prison and identified himself as a gang member.

According to the Lookout Mountain District Attorney’s Office, after being asked to empty his pockets, he handed over a bag containing 200 fentanyl tablets.

In a separate case, his older brother, George Wright Jevard Williams II, was arrested during a March 2021 investigation in Summerville.

Following a probable-cause search, police found a black backpack belonging to George Williams.

Inside, they discovered nearly 486 grams of methamphetamine, an unloaded Ruger .357 Magnum revolver, and various drug paraphernalia.

On August 26, 2025, both men were convicted in separate bench trials.

Trevion Williams was found guilty of trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute, and simple possession.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
