Rossville man charged with child rape of 4-year old

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – A Rossville man was booked into the Hamilton County jail over night on a charge of child rape.

According to Hamilton County Juvenile Court administrators, Jamario Nicholson, 23, was a juvenile when he reportedly raped a 4-year old child back in December of 2007.

A criminal complaint against Nicholson was filed back in May of 2013.

Court officials told WDEF that because the alleged crime took place when Nicholson was still a minor, his case fell under the juvenile court jurisdiction.
     
But juvenile court has transferred Nicholson’s case to the adult criminal court.

His bond was set at $10,000
