Ayers picked up the keys on Monday at a Kia dealership in Smyrna.

“My wife saw my name on the Internet. She freaked out, hollering,” he said of his wife, Dea. “I thought she tricked me. When I saw it, I was totally shocked.”

Ayers is a maintenance supervisor for the Chattanooga Housing Authority.
