Sale Creek Fire Hall Opens

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) – As of Saturday, the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue department has officially offered 45-years of service to the Sale Creek community.

Now they’re happy to announce the opening of a their station.

This morning the public got a tour of the new facility.

Fire administrators say the new station meets all their current needs, especially since they get called more than 400 times a year.

“Three years ago, we began this process by meeting with the mayor’s office. We were set on a path that we needed to design and build a fire station that met all laws, applicable codes; everything that’s current today and wold serve the community for at least 50 years,” says J.P. Ray, Deputy Chief.

The new station will also act as the department headquarters.
