Salvation Army Kitchen is Stocked Once Again

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – The Salvation Army Kitchen is stocked once again thanks to generous community members.

Just over a week ago the shelves were completely bare.

However, Salvation Army officials say they’re still in need of heaters for their Share the Warmth Campaign.

They don’t have enough for those who live in low income housing units.

Kimberly George with the Salvation Army, says, "Those are some frigid temperatures, very cold for the Tennessee Valley. Pray for those in the elements that they do seek shelter and also for the low income residents."

The Salvation Army is still accepting food donations for their social services department.

You can drop off any donation at their McCallie Avenue location.
