Sand Mountain Arrest: A sharpie, a license plate and meth
Officers pulled the car because it looked like the driver used the sharpie to adjust a license tag
POWELL, Alabama (WDEF) – Police got a bit suspicious last week on Sand Mountain when they noticed a vehicle had a license tag that looked like someone had taken a sharpie to it.
The tag had a date hand-drawn on it to make it appear current.
So Powell police pulled the vehicle over.
They say they found much more inside beside the altered tag.
Officers say they found almost an ounce of meth, a glass pipe, digital scale and plastic baggies.
Shaun Bingham of Dutton was charged with distribution, drug paraphernalia and having an expired tag.
