Saving energy during summer heat

With temperatures on the rise, energy costs will be rising.

EPB is providing some tips to cut down on energy as the summer months arrive:

– Keep blinds and curtains closed to block out the sun
– Use fans to help circulate air (set ceiling fans to spin counterclockwise)
– Raise your thermostat a few degrees when you’re not home
– Skip the oven and dryer during peak heat hours
– Check for air leaks around windows and doors
