Scattered power outages across the Tennessee Valley

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – We didn’t get major damage from the storm front that went through in the early morning hours.

But we do have scattered outages across the region this morning.

Volunteer Electric Cooperative has just updated their outage map.

The most problems are in Meigs County.

The Electric Power Board map shows a handful of outages throughout their region, from Nickajack to Chattanooga Valley to Ooltewah and Hixson.

Georgia Power has a couple of pockets of outages in our part of the state.

The worst areas are in Dade and Chattooga counties.

More than 500 customers are out on Sand Mountain in Dade.

And another 700 out in Menlo and on Lookout Mountain overlooking Summerville.

The Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative reports 900 customers out across Marion and Grundy counties.
