School traffic guard arrested on outstanding warrants

HAMILTON COUNTY — A privately employed school traffic guard with outstanding warrants was arrested on March 4, 2026.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says the Criminal Warrants Unit detectives and a school resource deputy initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of South Kelly Street and East 23rd Street.

The suspect failed to stop, initiating a brief vehicle pursuit that ended with the driver crashing their vehicle at the intersection of Westside Drive and Elder Street.

The suspect was identified as Michael Moore.

They say Moore has Criminal Court warrants for Possession of Controlled Substance, in addition to driving with a revoked license.

A search of Moore’s vehicle revealed a loaded firearm, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and more than $3,000.

The HCSO says Moore faces the following charges in addition to multiple traffic violations:• Felony Reckless Endangerment

• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
• Tampering with Evidence
• Drugs for Resale
• Possession of Controlled Substance x2
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
