Scooter deemed the cause of a house fire in Bradley County

BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)- Witnesses say a scooter is to blame for a fire in Bradley county Saturday.

Bradley County County Commissioner Charlotte Peak says a fire quickly spread room to room in a family member’s home this morning.

Peak says they are thankful that no one was hurt and they credit the creation of a nearby fire hall a little more than a year ago.

Fire officials got there in about 4 minutes.

Peak believes it could have been much worse had fire officials arrived any later.

Peak says the fire was caused by a scooter that was plugged in on the front porch.
