Scottsboro dentist killed while on bike

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (AP) – A Scottsboro dentist was killed when he was hit by a car while riding his bike.

WAFF-TV reports that 65-year-old Dr. Wayne Augustus Patterson III died Tuesday after the accident.

Bart Buchanan, who was a close friend to Patterson, told the station that Patterson loved riding.

Patterson worked as a dentist at Valley Dental Implant Center in Scottsboro.
