Scottsboro man arrested on 23 Counts of possessing child sex abuse material
SCOTTSBORO, Al. (WDEF) — A Scottsboro man is facing multiple child exploitation charges stemming from a cybercrime investigation.
On April 17, 2025, the Scottsboro Police Department (SPD) executed a search warrant at a residence on Rose Drive, following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
According to SPD, during the search, investigators arrested Michael Triplett, 71, of Scottsboro.
Triplett is charged with 23 counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material.
He is currently being held at the Jackson County Jail on a $345,000 bond.
