Scottsboro police uncover meth after served search warrant

SCOTTSBORO, Al. (WDEF) — The Scottsboro Police Department uncovered a group of drug traffickers after serving a search warrant August 12, 2024.

The search warrant was for the 1200 block of Robinson Street in Scottsboro, Alabama.

When officers arrived, they found three individuals inside the residence, Jeffrey Lee Swails, Carolyn Juanita Owens, and Angel Marie Couch.

These three were arrested and are being held at the Jackson County Jail on bond.

Officers also discovered 4.6 ounces of methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, 5 grams of marijuana, $1,543 in US currency, and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Owens was charged with Drug Trafficking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Swails was charged with Drug Trafficking, Possession of Marijuana 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Loitering in a Drug House.

Couch was charged with Drug Trafficking, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Loitering in a Drug House.
