Second Marion County Football Coach Charged With Vandalism

Another Marion County football coach finds himself in trouble with the law.

Tuesday afternoon assistant coach Joe Dan Gudger turned himself in.

He’s accused of spray painting obscene messages on his schools field house.

Investigators believe it was an attempt to motivate players before a big match-up against South Pittsburg.

Gudger also charged with unlawful possession of alcohol on school property.

Last week, assistant coach Michael Schmitt was also charged with vandalizing the field house.

Local football fans tell us they’re shocked over these new charges.

Gudger was released on a $3,500 bond.

There’s no word on if he’s suspended from his duties at Marion County High School.
