CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Thursday, Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty, continued with his third-annual statewide Economic Development Tour across Tennessee with a visit to Chattanooga.
The senator began his day at the Hamilton County Annual Farm Bureau Legislative Breakfast.
He then visited West Star Aviation, Coca-Cola Bottling, the Kordsa Factory and finished the day off at EPB’s Quantum Lab.
“Just left a meeting here at EPB. They’re talking about new technologies that are being brought to Chattanooga. This is called the ‘gig city’ for a reason, and what we see is tremendous opportunity for more growth more technology innovation that’s going to happen here. They’re telling me about the great work force that is here- their ability to attract more people from around the country because this is frankly just a great place to live, and Tennessee has done a wonderful job at creating a good business environment that is very hospitable to capital investment,” said United States Senator ((R) TN), Bill Hagerty.
The senator said that he’s working to encourage more capital investment within businesses across the state, while also learning what the federal government can do to address it.
