Serious Apison Pike crash sends two to hospital

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A serious crash happened on Apison Pike Tuesday evening, according to the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department (VFD).

Officials said this accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near Chestnut Creek Road.

After the accident, all lanes of Apison Pike were closed. The fire department asked the public to avoid the area.

As of 6:40 p.m., the VFD stated that their units cleared the scene.

First responders took two patients to a hospital.

But, at that time, the road was still closed for cleanup.
