Seven Hamilton County Jail inmates experience overdose symptoms
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Seven female inmates at the Hamilton County Jail had overdose symptoms on Thursday.
The inmates received medical attention and went to a local hospital. All seven inmates later got medical clearance and returned to the jail.
Corrections deputies also found a folded piece of paper containing fentanyl near the area the women were overdosing.
The sheriff’s office determined that two inmates were in possession of fentanyl. They identified them as 25-year-old Sheyenne Sullivan and 31-year-old Rhianna McGill.
Both Sullivan and McGill face charges of possession of fentanyl for resale and possession of contraband in a penal institution.
