Sexual Assault Awareness month

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)- April is also Sexual Assault Awareness month and Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults spoke of the importance of spreading sexual assault awareness.

Partnership provided statistics about how they aided hundreds of people who were sexually assaulted.
They also wanted to let people know that many cases don’t get reported and they are there for those who need them.
“What should I be doing at this point? Does this really count as sexual assault? So, these kinds of programs bring awareness for those victims and survivors as well as the general public. Let’s just not forget this still happens a lot in our community and it’s a tremendous impact,” said Partnership CEO Pam Ladd
Partnership says bringing awareness and aiding those who have been sexually assaulted is a community effort throughout Hamilton county.
