Shaw Industries fined over worker death in 2017
DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Shaw Industries has been fined more than $20,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for two violations relating to the death of a worker at a Dalton plant in 2017.
Jesus Pimentel, died after getting caught between a piece of machinery and a beam.
Shaw was originally assessed two fines of over $12,000 each.
After an appeal hearing in May, the fines were lowered to just over $10,000 each.
