Sheriff Hammond, deputies participate in Read Across America

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond and other members of his department also participated in Read Across America.

They read to students at Hixson Elementary School this morning.

Sheriff Hammond says he enjoyed interacting with the students and says it is good for the kids to see law enforcement in another light.
